Ramonn che crea dipinti vibranti che esplorano i temi di identità, memoria e natura.

Identity – Guilt – Queer – Desire – Mystery

Ramonn is a Brazilian artist who creates vibrant paintings that explore themes of identity, memory, and nature. He uses vivid colors in a dreamlike universe to convey a sense of energy and movement in his works. Ramonn is constantly interested in exploring new forms of pictorial representation, both in figurative and landscape painting, and through his works, he invites viewers to reflect on their relationship with nature and identity, creating a space for alternative ways of seeing and understanding the world. His paintings celebrate the diversity of human experience, inviting viewers to embrace their uniqueness and find beauty in the world around them.

“The pictorial poetics of Vieitez – perhaps originating from the same source that brought Rimbaud’s poetry to the world – also exposes the void, the melancholy in the face of displacement in the world. The artist presents a complex work, full of contrasts and duplicities. Through his production, the artist evokes confusing times, of bombardment of images and information, but also of isolation and melancholy. At the same time that there is a cry for the right to one’s own identity, more and more masks, disguises, filters (!) are used, behind which truths are hidden. Or perhaps not. For the artist, masks are not only for hiding but also for revealing. If in Ramonn everything is contrast, perhaps some of these masks can reveal identities that do not fit the identical faces mingling in the crowd. Identity is difference.” Leandro Fazolla, contemporary art scholar.

His works are held in institutional collections in Brazil and abroad: Arte Al Limite, Santiago, Chile; Museu de Arte do Rio/MAR, Rio de Janeiro, RJ, Brazil; Centro Cultural da Universidade do Extremo Sul Catarinense – UNESC, Criciúma, SC, Brazil; Gilberto Chateaubriand Collection/Museu de Arte Moderna/MAM, Rio de Janeiro, RJ, Brazil; Frase Contemporary Art, Veneto and Padua, Italy.
