David Maljković

David Maljković studied philosophy at the University of Rijeka (1993–1996) and painting at the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Zagreb (1996–2000), followed by postgraduate studies in Multimedia Alternative (1998–1999). He later continued his training at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam (2003–2004).

His work is defined by a profound reflection on collective memory and modernist utopias, often through the use of various media such as video, photography, installation, and collage. Maljković explores how time and history influence contemporary perception, creating works that question the relationship between past and present.
